Jensina Byington, Pianist

Jensina Byington

Jensina Byington has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Israel. Critics have called her “highly talented,” with a “steely-fingered” technique and a flair for “panache and drama.” (Salt Lake Tribune)

Jensina performs regularly in the Shoreline Community College Piano Series and in recitals sponsored by the Ladies Musical Club (LMC). At Shoreline she has been on the piano faculty for eleven years teaching private and class piano, music theory, and ear training. She also maintains an active home music studio, where she instills a love of music in students of all ages.

In December 2005 Jensina was selected as a winner of the UW School of Music’s Concerto Competition. Her first CD, “Jensina Byington performs Chopin, Liszt, Brahms & Rachmaninoff,” was released in January 2009 and is available on cdbaby.com.
